About Our Mission

Our Story

Wilson Oasis Center was established with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide shelter, food, clothing, counseling and other support services to the homeless, impoverished, abused women and children in Wilson, NC and surrounding areas.

Since receiving our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2015, we have been working tirelessly to create a safe haven - an oasis - for those facing difficult circumstances.

Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff believe that everyone deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Through our various programs and services, we strive to be a beacon of hope in our community.

Our 501(c)(3) Status

Wilson Oasis Center is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions to our organization are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Our tax-exempt status was granted by the IRS in August 2015. We file appropriate annual returns to maintain our nonprofit status.

As a community-focused organization, we strive to maximize the impact of every donation received. The majority of our resources directly support our programs and services for those in need.
